Why Pinwheel Farm? Many years ago, I was backpacking with my friend through Europe and were on our way to Copenhagen, Denmark. Why Denmark? Because I’d never been to a Scandinavian country and I liked Hamlet so I wanted to see what I was all about. So anyway, we got on a train in England and headed out. We were in our cabin and we both fell asleep. We woke up and it was completely dark but it was the middle of the day. We decided to go out to see what was going on. Apparently, as we slept, the train had rolled into the freight of a ship and we were sailing across the sea to Denmark on the train which was inside a boat.

When we went up to the deck of the ship, the first thing we saw were all these windmills (the giant white modern ones that look like pinwheels), hundreds of them on the horizon.  I had taken a picture but I lost it somewhere.  So the first thing I thought was, “oooooh… looks like a pinwheel farm”.  And that’s where I came up with pinwheel farm.
